British tennis legend Tin Henman pays tribute to Carlos Alcaraz: "I spent time with him at the Laver Cup and was totally impressed."

Carlos Alcaraz , with his impeccable game and mastery of the racket, continues to captivate all those fans and experts who enjoy his talent on the tennis court. The latest to heap praise on the current US Open winner is former ATP number four Tim Henman , who admitted he was surprised by Carlitos at the 2025 Laver Cup.
The Briton served as vice-captain of Team Europe and worked closely with Alcaraz for several days in San Francisco, United States, where he realized the quality of the player from El Palmar and his playing style: "I spent some time with him at the Laver Cup and I was impressed... not just as a player, but also as a person. His energy, his values, and his attitude on the court are first-class. He's really raised his game."
On the other hand, Henman, despite the large number of Grand Slam titles that the members of the 'Big Three' have achieved throughout their careers, did not miss the opportunity and compared Carlitos' figure with that of Roger Federer , Rafa Nadal andNovak Djokovic .
" What Roger, Rafa and Novak did by winning 20, 22 and 24 Grand Slams has made it almost disproportionate for these other players... but if we think about Edberg, Becker, McEnroe, Wilander or Connors, among others, we see that they are also great figures in tennis. Then there is Alcaraz, who already has six 'majors' at a very young age and people wonder if he will reach 20," Tim himself highlighted in an interview with Tennis365 .
Finally, the Oxford native acknowledged that Alcaraz has evolved his game in recent years and is now "absolutely phenomenal" : "If you look at how Carlos's game has evolved... it's absolutely phenomenal. When I was playing and Pete Sampras reached 14 Grand Slams, I would have bet all my money that absolutely no one would go beyond 14. I was wrong. Three have achieved them and we'll see how many Alcaraz and Sinner achieve."
In search of 'revenge'Carlos Alcaraz, after recovering from the injury that prevented him from competing in the Shanghai Masters 1000, has returned to competition in the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament, where he defeated American Taylor Fritz 6-4 in his semifinal debut. The Spaniard will now face Jannik Sinner in the grand final (Saturday, October 18, at 8:00 p.m. CET), who showed no mercy to Novak Djokovic (6-4, 6-2), in a repeat of the final of the first edition of the Arabian championship, where the Italian took the crown after winning the match in three tight sets. The Spaniard is looking for revenge.
